Bags by Andy

I love to start with fabrics and create a bag that no one else will have. I

recently bought a bird made by young girls to raise money for water purification in Zambia.

Birds of a Feather

I purchase and produce handmade

products to support the local economy and to keep dollars in the hands of primary consumers. I also purchase

handmade objects because I believe the provide the best value for my dollar. Most importantly I produce and

purchase handmade goods to make real connections with real people.

Cute As A Button!

I have always loved art and jewelry. The town where I grew up has a two week art

festival every summer- Virginia Highlands Festival. Craftsmen from all over the U.S. come to display their art and

it is a joy to go see - they also feature antiques as well.
A few years ago a friend of mine gave me some

buttons that belonged to her grandmother. They were so beautiful but not in any kind of condition to use on

clothing. I thought there must be someway to enjoy and appreciate these buttons other than sitting them on a

shelf. I experimented around with making them into various accessories and my button jewelry designs came into

being!

laura's handmade inspiration

i like to buy handmade because it gives me a chance to support

other artists. i know it can be a struggle to pay the bills some days. if my $10 or $20 helps someone buy dinner

for the night it makes me happy, plus i get something neat in return.

Skin Loving Soap

Our inspiration to buying and selling quality handcrafted items

comes from supporting local artisans trying to earn a few extra bucks to help support family in trying times. My

2 yr. old daughter has also inspired me come up with a wonderful soap that is as natural as possible without any

synthetic intrusion.
