Unique Items

I love to buy hand made items, as you can see the time,

care, love that is used to make them. If you purchase 2 items the same from a crafter, you would notice each one

differs slightly, making each piece unique and one of a kind just like people and have their own flair, unlike

something that is mass produced by a machine.

Handmade is the coolest!

My most recent handmade purchase is lovely soap from

Maine. I am so crazy for these handmade goats milk soaps that I try never to run out of them.
I also bought a

beautiful stained glass suncatcher for my sister for her birthday, and she loves it!
Did I mention the baby

shoes? Oh my goodness, every time there is a shower I give either hand crocheted booties or sweet fabric and

fleece booties to the new parents. It's so nice to see a gift recipients face light up at a one of a kind and

beautiful gift.

I'm inspired by fun

I'm inspired to buy handmade and create handmade

items because it is so fun!
My kids love to get totally unique handcrafted gifts, whether made by me or by

another super-talented WAHM. I love being able to send off my handmade items for other kids to enjoy, whether

that's toys or clothing or winter hats, whatever!
Handmade items have a story, a personality, a deeper meaning

beyond merely acquiring "stuff".
By buying handmade we can extend our fun times from the playground to

diapering to bathtime and bedtime and beyond and support and enrich other WAHMs and families in the process.

My inspiration ~ Herbs

I'm inspired to handmake because I'm passionate about

what I do and when you're passionate... Well, when you're passionate you don't settle. You don't do second

best. It's an all out, stay up 'til midnight CREATE. I'm inspired to buy handmade because these artisans have

the same passion for whatever their particular gift is that I do about soap and herbs....

Etsy for Bath&Body

I'm a make-up, lotion, anything-pretty-and-

smells-good junkie. Let's just say I can easily spend a couple of hours in Sephora. I started purchasing all my

bath and body related products on Etsy about a month ago. I started because 1 - I have a shop on Etsy that I love

and work on, so I'm already in front of (or near) my computer, 2 - I love the idea of products made in small

batches. To me that means that more time and care was taken to create the products. 3 - Vegan, good-for-your skin

stuff is all I'm about now that I've turned 30 (okay, 31) and I wish I had started going the more organic route

Some of my favorite bath products come from Satinpetalsoap.etsy.com - she makes the best smelling

vanilla/shea lotion I've tried and Gudonyatoo.etsy.com has some incredible washes, as well as hair care products.

Dressgreen.etsy.com and ayelet17 (Sun Kissed Bud is the name of the shop) makes excellent face care products

- I was a little apprehensive about purchasing products for my face, but, honestly, after using products from

these two shops there is no going back! The quality and the all-important smell of these products is unbelievable!

Then came the make-up purchases. I have tried mineral make-up from three wonderful places: Mixology, Pink

Quartz, and Mineral Make Up are ALL awesome - they also each have incredible sample sets - so check them out!!

Now, not only do I purchase the majority of my bath and body needs off Etsy, my gifts come from here, too -

it's going to be a very Merry Etsy Holiday Season around my house!
